About DFL

DFL stands for Dead Fucking Last. In an ultramarathon, the award for DFL is presented to the last runner who crosses the finish line just under the final cutoff. This is a badge of honor, showing grit, determination, and an unwillingess to quit. We are intent on telling the stories we want to tell, without compromise. We may not win all of the awards and have a ton of accolades, but we're here to get it done, DFL or bust.

We come from all walks of life but share the same innate, hungry vision: to make movies.

Saraphina Redalieu

Saraphina is our creative director and proud back of the pack runner. With two degrees in screenwriting (SUNY Purchase, UCLA TFT) she has a firm "story first" mentality. Her writing has received accolades from Austin Film Festival, Stowe Story Labs, and Barnstorm Media. She has spent the last seven years working as an editor in documentary film. She's worked on projects for Red Bull, Adidas, La Sportiva, and Mountain Hardwear. She's dedicated to crossing the finish line on all projects, even if it's DFL.

Dani Gallotte

Dani is a visual artist with a degree in filmmaking from CU Denver. Between ADing, making slime, and ensuring everyone takes proper breaks, Dani can do it all.
